-------Weight Saving-------

I'm all about it. I managed to drop over 300lbs off my Maxima before I stripped it out for its last few weeks of glory. Before that it was still a fairly comfortable performance sedan. I altered my approach with the 240. I decided to go full out on this one. Only hours after signing the title my buddy Ross and I were back at my place ripping it to shreds. Filling trash can after trash can and occaisionaly saving some stuff with the possibility of selling it. But I didn't save much because it either smelled like shit or looked like it. The fact that the interior was a horrible combination of sh!t brown and puke green didn't inspire me to love it either. So, I will try to compile a list of everything removed from the car. I'm doing this after the fact so I know I'm missing some things.

Current weight about 5 gallons of fuel: 2060lbs

I liked the look of the clean race car with no trim so I decided I try it with mine. Looks alright I think . Even better once I can fill in all the unecessary clip holes and paint it nice.

Who needs a dash? Just makes the wiring that much harder.

I went a little crazy with the doors. Cutting out the skelton probably saved almost 10lbs per door. We'll find out when I weight again. Don't worry, its not gonna look like shit forever. Just until I do the nice paint.

Whats the point of sound deadening in a race car? Pics of its removal.

Who needs windows? Well, maybe on somedays but thats what lexan is for. Thats also why I'm keeping the glass so if I want I can convert to crank windows.

Great job on the VQ swap. I was on maxima.org when I spotted the weight on your sig and had to investigate. It's nice to see a race car built on a reasonable budget.

i also was wondering why you got another racing seat. why not just take the one off the maxima if you are parting it out anyway? and y did you sell the blower if you are going to run boost on this engine? btw, you should paint it all black or something... like the part gold part flat black looks like shit. but this is really the first 240 with this motor? ehh personally i woulda got a 300zx motor or something with a little more horsepower, but good luck.
