I haven't posted in a while so here's the latest updates. I had the car repainted back to the original L50B Diamond Blue color.

Calisupastarz's 1969 Volkswagen Beetle Sylmar, CA Customized with Polk Audio Speakers, Infinity Subwoofers, MTX Audio Amplifier, Panasonic Head Unit, KYB Shocks, Bosch Ignition, OBCON Sub Enclosure, Streetwires Wiring, Nankang Tires, Leistritz Exhaust - 20 On the exterior the stock wheels were replaced with modern style polished Rivieras and the front tires were replaced with Nankang 145 R15s to prevent the tires from rubbing inside the fenders. The rear window and quarter windows have been tinted and the running boards have been replaced.

The steering wheel has been restored and repainted and I added a flower vase with a plush flower like the New Beetles have.

Drivetrain and Suspension
Replaced transmission with rebuilt autostick transmission
Rebuilt engine –
Case align bored and case savers installed
New 85.5 Kolbenshmidt pistons & cylinders
New single port cylinder heads
New stock Engle camshaft, new cam, rod, and main bearings
New cylinder studs, pushrods, lifters, intake and exhaust valves
New Gene Berg 1.5 qt. oil sump and oil temperature dipstick installed
Repainted engine tins and intake manifold
Replaced front/rear shock absorbers with KYB GR-2s
Replaced all brake shoes, lines, and wheel cylinders and new German master cylinder
Replaced front brake drums with German drums, resurfaced rear German drums
Replaced generator with Bosch 75 amp alternator
Replaced coil with Bosch Blue coil
Replaced distributor cap, rotor, plug wires, and spark plugs
Replaced muffler with German Leistritz muffler and “quiet” angle cut tailpipes
Replaced gas tank with refurbished original gas tank
Replaced all 4 tires and spare (145s front, 165s rear)
Replaced spindles with CB drop spindles for front end
Replaced ball joints and steering damper
Replaced all bushings for front end sway bar
Replaced CV joints and boots

Interior and Exterior
Repainted car original color, L50B - Diamond Blue
Replaced all exterior rubber with WCM seals
Replaced interior with TMI interior kit (headliner, seat covers, carpeting)
Replaced dash pad with OEM VW dash pad
Replaced headlights with Hella E-Code H4 lamps
Replaced emergency brake cover, door pulls/armrests, window winders, seat belts
Replaced door locks with custom VW door locks and installed repop VW door sill plates
Refurbished steering wheel and covered with German wheel cover
Replaced speedometer with refurbished original speedometer
Replaced running boards & added VW billet jack hole covers
Replaced rear emblem with Automatic Stickshift emblem
Replaced turn signal lenses and rear lenses
Replaced windshield
Tinted back window and rear quarter windows
Replaced wheels with polished Riviera wheels & billet centercaps
Rechromed rear bumper and bumper guards
Rechromed front bumper
