Hello, and welcome to my site! I'm an Norwegian male, 23 years old. And this is (one of) my cars.
I will try to describe a bit what I've done with the car and what work is still left. I hope you will take your time to read, maybe you find it interresting? Or maybe not.. Anyway, enjoy=)
And please sign my guestbook, answer my poll or give me comments about my car.
If you will continue reading, excuse my english.. It is a bit "rusten".. ;)
This is one of the first pictures I have taken of the car, since I began with the "restauration", if I should call it that.. I have not removed the engine, the interior or any windows on the car, because it looked in pretty good shape and the work had been timetaking and difficult.
Those pictures are taken just after the body and paintwork. I am not very good at that stuff, so I hired a Paint and Bodyshop to do the work for me.
The removing of lights, bumpers, lists and that stuff I did myself. I soon realised that much of the equipment I was removing, especially the list, had to be replaced with better looking ones after the paintjob.
When I first picked up the car at the paintshop, I was not at all satisfied with their work. The paintjob was to bad, there was a lot of trickles and therefor they had to re-do some bodywork and paint the car all over. Off course they wasn't charging me for that cost.
The engine in this car is a 1.6 litres with single carburator. The output isn't more than 85 hp, but believe it or not, the car is pretty fast and the engine makes a very nice noise=) There's not much power at low rpm but it "kicks" at higher rpm. That's funny!=)
On those pictures the engine isn't washed after the paintjob, so it's pretty dusty looking. I don't know what distance is on the car, because the counter is not working properly, but I guess it's over 120.000 miles. The engine doesn't make bad noises and do not consume much of oil. It's not that easy to start, dough. The only thing I've done with the engine, is to adjust the valve-clearence and changing the oil, oilfilter and airfilter.
