For a cd player i originally i had a DUAL XD7500. DONT GET ONE, or any dual for that matter, they all suck, the cd player shit the bed after a few months, and i have buddies with Dual speakers and they cant handle any bass at all, they pop whenever bass hits. So i got a poineer head unit, it powers the speakers well, and has subwoofer controlls built in, all in all a good investment.
Then I added subwoofers. Originally i had two MTX twelves in my tiny little trunk, I decided to change them out for a single sub, so i got a Rockford Fosgate 10" punch.
I ran the power wire for the subs through the bung in my car, probably the hardest part of the entire install.
Speaker Pics, these are only the rear ones because when i installed the front ones i didnt have my camera with me, but good luck to those who want to put new speakers in the front, the door panels are a pain

All in all a good investment, they sound really good.
