DIGITAL SPEEDO PROJECT*This project went bust after i tinted the face... i must have dripped fluid and fried something becuase it was working up untill then. Hopefully this attempt will inspire someone to try and succeed! the donor unit is from a 88 town car cluster.MUCH DREMEL TIME IS REQUIRED

. more LEDs I found some extra-bright better-spread 194 replacements for the speedo and the courtesey lights - search Ebay for "194 5 led" I removed the manual lock rods and stuck an LED in the door panel so it stick out of the hole. I had to. no choice. finally, a nice dash pad NOS turn/wiper levers. the old ones were peeling and dangerous. much nicer now! I recently also got a tilt lever. Now for the shifter... these swap right in - I had to convert mine to seat controll switches, and I upgrades the passenger seat to power as well, usuing junkyard tracks and wiring. these seats are great!!! a few small things... some LED reading lights from a towncar. The chrome had peeled off, so I painted those maroon too. I whipped up something to match the console - its wedged in place between the seats. Its great to have, and a foreshadowing of a future console change perhaps?

. Electro-mojo New and Improved LED Dash Replaced the old LEDs with flexible LED strips - 2 rows - too many to count!

Finally got around to re-doing the trunk again - turned out pretty good Ghetto amprack IV - this is up on the package shelf, bolted securly in place taking out the backseat makes things much easier... all the wiring is nicely hidden away and it easier to get the straps on aftermarket 6x9's this way. You can trim away that insulation around the holes too.

. . Daniel Stern marker flash mod (I did this tricky easy re-wire and now both marker lenses flash on or off with the signal, depending if the marker bulbs are already lit or not. Its easy as 1-2-3 Exterior LED bulb swap All exterior 1157 signal/brake lamp bulb and 194 marker bulbs are LED replacements. I have long been a sceptic of LED bulbs replacements, but finally found some that are actually worth a damn. stop lights are plenty bright, you can compare to the incandescent bulbs on page 7 Exterior de-volution almost complete. Old school grill, 79' clear lenses and hood ornament, and now 79-82 brake lamps. Dig my new old school grill. looks cleaner with no oval, and the lettering takes me back. TRIM SWAP (inspired by the rust) I removed all the chrome trim from the lower sides of the car - looks much better this way. The paint is nice underneath... lots of dirt but that was easily cleaned and compounded away. All thats left are two small holes in each door and pairs of tiny pegs every 6 inches or so... You have to swap the 4 wheel well trims to make them match up, and of course swap the old black runners with chrome. it doesnt hurt to but some more chrome on the rear window too THE RUST the spot of rust on the right showed itself first... leading me to remove the trim. I saw this horry behind it and quicky fetched some bondo Gorrila hair bondo.fiber filler and regular bondo made quick work of it. I hope it doesnt come back anytime soon... there is still a little more rust... bottoms of the door insides, endges of the trunk lip undersides, nothing too bad. Ill get to it sooner or later...

and now... the mustang valve covers!!! dont ask what i had to do to the vacuum solenoids that attach to the original valve covers... ok you can ask :D A little cutting and riveting produces a dual snorkle air cleaner - screw buying a mustang one off Ebay! upgraded the washer fluid tank/coolant overflow bottles to a newer crown vic washer bottle, 90 TC shroud/overflow*voltage regulator has been relocated and given a 10gauge ground wire to avoid fire* Heater hoses: thats bad!! guess what I did??? thems' good hose Passenger Fender Well Clean-up nice eh??? I still dont think its clean enough. I removed the large combo valve assebly (for the smog pump) from the fender and replaced it with the newer setup from MPFI 5.0 boxes, wich sits in the air suspending by only the smog pump hoses. If i cant get it plumbed well enough to look stock, I may wind up using the cylinder head smog tubing from a MPFI box. this is a before pic. see the difference? a little bit? I also relocated the MAP sensor and smog valve solenoids elsewhere. Can you find them???

Towncar power trunk pulldown The motor and bracket bolts into place great and the upper switch can be rigged to work. Attempt #1 showed me that the 2 parts just barely dont line up, even with some tweaking. Attempt #2 involved making a frankenstien of the old motor and one from a 90s continental, which has a catch that extends back with a nice loop, which worked perfectheres a link to a youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0zKHMszsbE

CFI TO EFI SWAP This was pretty easy - pretty much just a very complicated lower intake gasket job.  Wiring is pretty simple to figure out if you have EVTMs for your car and the car the donor harness came from.She runs better now!! :) no more pinging.  The Upper intake and TB are stock HO parts from a HO mustang (some modification require for the TB, EGR spacer needs to be bored to match)more info on www.grandmarq.net
