As soon as I got the car off the rollers I called and ordered a Mopar Stage 1 PCM, JLM motor mounts, JLM downpipe, BDJ?s Intake, a TurboXS WGA along with a TurboXS boost controller, and a set of NGK spark plugs.

The Mopar Stage 1 allows the car to run with no catalytic converters without throwing a CEL as well as increases the boost cut threshold.

I went with the BDJ?s CAI because it is a full 3? system. I knew that later down the line I would be going with a bigger turbo that required a 3? inlet. Not to mention they use a blitz mesh filter.

Upgraded motor mounts are a must on this car. I ordered all three red filled motor mounts from JLM and sent him my stock mounts for a $100 refund. This works out great because all three mounts end up costing $100.00. That?s hard to beat for the performance. With the stiffer mounts you do get more NVH but it dramatically cuts down on the wheel hop. I also picked up JLM?s 3? catless downpipe. It incorporates the O2 housing in with the downpipe to take care of the bottleneck of the stock O2 housing.

The stock wastegate actuator (WGA) is only rated at about 4psi. This means It has a tough time holding anything more than 12-13psi at redline. An adjustable WGA from TurboXS takes care of this. I also ordered their High Performance Boost Controller (HPBC). MMMmmmm Boooooost.

I went back to the dyno to see what these simple bolt-ons would net me. I was again happily surprised by the results: 268whp and 291ft-lbs with a nice fat torque curve. A gain of 40 hp and 40 ft-lbs throughout most of the powerband.
