The next time at the track I turned the fuel pressure up a bit to keep the air fuel nice and rich. I also removed the stock spoiler to decrease the drag on the car.
The air was great and I ended up with a new best of 11.64@124.65 with only 24psi!
I was pumped because I knew the car had a lot more in it. My previous best was at 28psi so I was ready to go again with more boost. Unfortunately, the passenger?s side axle was the one to bite the dust this time.
It experienced a shaft failure just before the cv joint.
Well, another $89 and the car was back on the road. Since it is a real pain in the ass to get a tow from the race track I decided that before I head back again I was going to upgrade the axles this time.
I called Darrell Cox up (www.srt4-racing.com) and we talked for awhile on what my options were. A week later and I was dropping my car off at his shop for some new goodies. Stay tuned for the new transformation and some 10 second time slips.
