Suspension mods
WHILE I'M AT IT, I might as well upgrade the suspension. I mean, how often do I want to take this thing apart ? Meanwhile I'm taking the bus to work. This picture shows a spring compressor with u bolts holding spring instead of hooks. This design is MUCH safer since spring CAN'T come loose and kill you!
Don't let this happen to you! I over torqued this illumina, twisting the top right off and had to buy a new one : (
Front is done. Progress lowering spring drops 1.7" Illumina adjustible strut takes extra load from spring. Goodrich SS lines stiffen brakes, and Brembo blank rotors eliminate stock rotor heat warp.
Rear shock mounting point. Have to peel back trunk liner to get at it, and it's a real tight b!tch. Set it and forget it.
Rear setup. I used KYB dustboots front and back with integral bumpstop - all from Cattman. If you look closely, you can see the mounting point of the Progress rear sway bar as well.
