September 22 - 2012 we made it to the track again after replacing the Scat crank with a new Callies Magnum 4340 with the BBC nose. We ran a best of a 5.73 @ 121.95 mph. Not bad for a heavy street car with a weight of 3625lbs foot braking. 60 ft. times was 1.33Wallace Calculations 9/07/2012 & 9/28/2012 We DROVE the car to the tack for their Mid Night Madness races where they have the Fast 4 street car shoot out race. They go only by the fastest MPH to enter. If you think you have the fastest or you think your in the fastest 4 cars there you bring your time slip to the tower and they pic out the fastest 4 mph cars there and pair them up for heads up racing. No times are put on the board so no one knows how fast each other are and you only get your half the time slip each time. You have to be street legal with exhaust and a street tires or street slicks. We ran 5.94s at 118mph and won both events we entered. They give out a Hundred Dollar Bill and a plaque that has Eddyville Raceway Park Fast 4 Winner 2012. It doesn't cost any thing more to enter just your test n tune cost. Not bad for just playing around and having fun. Specially when you can drive it to and from the track and still run in the 5s in the 1/8 mile.June 30th 2012 we took it to the track made some passes on a Test N Tune night for the 4th of July week end ran a best of a 5.89 @ 118 mph. We shut the boost retard off and just ran the timing at 27 degrees total and ran 5.89s and 5.90s @ 118 mph for 3 passes and figured we were good for Saturday races. First pass off the trailer Saturday we broke the nose on our Scat 4000 series 4340 crank. We had less than 20 passes on this crank. Never run a Scat crank again. Going to put a Callies crank in it now with the big block nose. May 28th 2011 we decided to go racing at the last minute. We took the street tires off, opened the exhaust, checked the valves and went racing. Our best pass out was a 5.912 @ 117.49mph that's 1/8 mile. We put a new tranny in the car. Went from a 400 turbo to a Power glide with a Pro Brake. We are not using the brake yet just Ft braking cause we only have 31 spline axles and just a street gear in the car which I don't think would like getting hit that hard on a launch.Still running a CSUs carb dual needle and seat set up. Works flawless. Thanks to Kevin from CSUs.We uploaded another video of our pass, check it out. New time slip of the 5.91 pass is on page 7.2008 switching to E-85 fuel with CSUs modified blow through carb. Car loves E85. Sunoco race fuel is $ 7.50 a gal E85 last time I bought gas was $3.08 a gal.Best pass as of 9/20/2008 was a 6.07 et @ 115.21mph 1/8 mile. That is with our street tune and not boosting much. Check last page for time slip. I did buy this car new in 1972 when I was 16. Listed for $3280.00 I paid $2850.00 new. Wish we could buy a new one that cheap now days. Came with what they called the custom exterior chrome around the windows metal door guard the full length of car. 350 enginge with 2 barrel carb, single exhaust, AM radio, no air conditioning. But felt like I was on top of the world with this car.
