Cruzin 65 Malibu

cruzin65's 1965 Chevrolet Malibu

When I started this project I knew it was going to take me a few years to finish. I acquired this ride from my mom who was the original owner. She was going to sell it when I thought I could do something really unique with this car. Everbody I know has a two door ss. But how many people have a truly custom four door cruizer?
I started with the stereo. Every cruizer needs a killer sound system.

I chose a Kenwood Exceleon head unit. This head unit powers the rear MB Quart 6X9's. The front doors have a set of 3-way MB Quart
separates. These consist of a 1in. tweeter, 4 in. mid, and a 6 in. woofer. These are powered by an 450 watt eclipse 4-chanel amp.

The trunk is filled with a custom sealed box containing 4 12in. eclipse aluminum cone woofers. 3 fire into the trunk and one is on top of the box firing through the rear package shelf.
Each pair of woofers are powered by a 1100 watt stereo amplifer. In order to supply the required power for the bass, a lightning audio regulater and yellow top Optima battery were added. The cross overs for the MB Quarts are mounted in the floor of the trunk next to a pair of 1 farad capacitors. I am very happy with how the system looks and sounds.
