after sitting down and seriously thinking about it, this car has all but one (no electric aerial, i have to wind down the window to pull it out) option i ever want in a car. A new car with similar options would cost me $12K to $18K. Since i'm not that rich, i would have to take out a loan, so by the time the new car is paid for, i would have paid for two new cars. Screw that idea :) I've owned the car for 9 years, becuase of the occasional preventitive maintenance i do to the car (cam belt, HLA replacements, front/rear seals, front suspension bushes, oil change and tune up's, etc), i see no reason to run away from the car. So i have decided to spend a budget of $2K this year to get the car into a more respectible state, both for looks and so it'll last me another 5-10 years. The car still retains its nick name of B*tch. Remember the movie Christine? Well in some way's thats what this car can be like, so i better obey and get it fixed up
I plan to get the front of the car resprayed since the drivers gaurd has a few small dents, the bonnet is shedding clear coat like its a reptile, the passanger gaurd has a botched repair (cant find the guy that i originally paid to do the repair) and the bumber has scrathces and scrapes.

it's alittle hard to see the bad paint in these pic's, but omg does it stand out in real life. Probably doesnt help i used the cell phone to take pic's. Becuase the car hasnt really been looking great, i havent wanted to take many pic's of the car, thats why these pics are while the car is at the spray painters. the car is shiney becuase it was raining when i dropped it off, it's really a optical illusion :)
Below is one of two spots of rust, the second is under the front of the bonnet. not bad considering the only other rust i have had to deal with was under the dash, which is common and a nightmare.

It's amazing what a car looks like with no front end. i didnt recognise it at first.

the red circles are where the intake is hidden on the model, not a lot of room for air flow since this is exactly where the indicator light sits. i also removed the intake silencer in the hope to gain a little more air flow, it worked....i think.
