This is my 1993 Ford Probe GT (ATX). I'm not really here to brag about my car, but what I do have to show here is enthusiasm for restoring and modifying these cars, as well as exchanging info/recommendations with others.

HOW I GOT THE CAR
So this thing was sitting on a used car lot with frozen brakes, flat tires, and a dead battery (and much more). Why I wanted it, I have no idea. But now it's my 1993 Ford Probe GT (ATX) that I bought on 6/8/04. You need to REALLY like Probes to own one. This means you have to respect the fact that they are old cars and need to be cared for. If you like the way they look, you have to keep them that way. If you like "power everything", you should also know it means "nothing lasts for ever -ything". I plan for this thing to be a nicely restored ride (to "mint" condition") that looks good, sounds good, is fun to drive, and gets me from one place to the other quickly. I may streetrace for fun once in a blue moon, but if I was really into that I'd be at the racetrack with an MTX Probe. So if you want to show me up with your FI higher displacement motor, go ahead, but if you think you're cool with a N/A four-banger, you're probably gonna lose (unless you're in a CRX with no interior).
Previous Owners and the first 10 years of its life
On CarFaxIt, it was listed as originally being a company fleet vehicle from 1993-2002. It was then sold at a dealer-only auto auction in February of 2003 and then sat undriven for a WHOLE YEAR. It had received new paint (matching the original) prior to that sale. The car was dumped for the same reason so many PGT's are - it had been seriously neglected and had become too costly to keep on the road.
