302 Buildup

So I want more power and just plain enjoy the sound of a healthy V8, so I've decided a 302 is just what my truck needs.

I acquired my engine and began tearing it down to clean it up and everything, I've sandblasted the valve covers and oil pan and started painting some stuff.

The story behind the oil pan......some moron before me decided to make their own custom drain plug, so they punched a hole in the bottom and welded on this threaded thing and completely coated it all with some sort of sealer junk. I took it all off, ground off the old junk and welded the hole back up. I then used some metal fill stuff to take care of any pin holes.

Finally starting to paint. Here's the first coat of primer. I plan on doing the engine in Ford Blue, should be sweet.

More to come, pictures of my engine buildup. I purchased a 302 and am tearing it down, rebuilding it, and putting it back together.
