The motor was dropped in right before the new year fireworks. Unfortunately the electrical was not 100% ready so I had to wait for the evening of Jan 1 to make some noise. The fuel pump was jammed from sitting still so long and the starter feed was tapped to the wrong point. Once I fixed those issues she roared to life (no downpipe!) and ran smooth. I took her around the block with no brakes or headlights and it was a blast. I parked her in my front yard and then life took hold of my spare time. Now it's Jan 15 and all I have done (or so it seems) is wire the audio system (3 amps, a capacitor), finish the brakes and suspension, and buy more junk. I was going to fire her up last night but I killed the battery while working on the system.
Going in next is the pacesetter header, catalytic, and piping, exiting through a Hooker Aero Chamber muffler and dual tips. The it's on to install the missing taillight, install door panels, install headliner, install TV DVD, install headlights, wire up fog lights, new tires, alignment, charge the A/C. I still need carpet, windshield, fiberglass, paint, :(
All worth it in the end I guess!
