Not much here...... Too lazy/cold to get more pics.

But this is my car, a 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT. I installed a 300HP / 295 ftlbs torque Northstar engine out of a 95 eldorado into it this year. Took about 6 months to complete start to finish.

It really is a fun car to drive, but 0-60 is est. at 5 seconds, and 1/4 mile 13's... and it's rather slow by today's standards. Thinking about installing a supercharger to (hopefully) bump up the horsepower to around 500. 0-60 in <4sec would be awesome.

Finally got warm enough to take off the car cover and pull it inside. Working on upgrading the brakes to 11.25" vented rotors. Add'l pics follow

I have been running a custom built transmission controller for the past 8 months or so... I had a set of paddles machined out of aluminum, and they will be installed onto the steering column, to allow me to be the FIRST Paddle-shifted-Northstar-fiero!

The transmision controller will work with 4t60e's, 4t65e's and 4t80e's, and will be on sale shortly. In fact, the 4t80e one is going on ebay tuesday, so take a look!

Sorry about the lack of updates, not much has changed though. I did however, move. So, just to answer some of the commonly recurring questions, the The tail lights are off an 81(?) corvette, actually they're reverse lights. The fiberglass was from fibersmith.net The fit wasn't great, but considering they were cheap, I can't complain. I smoothed them into a single panel, since they came as 2 panels.

The swap itself cost somewhere between $3000 and $4000. I'm not sure on exact figures, because I added it up once, fainted, and when I came to, I couldn't find the receipts. I had a donor car that helped keep costs down a lot though. I'd consider my swap to be a "cheap" swap. I'm now considering whether it's necessary to have a larger radiator than the stock manual v6 one. (It only runs hot when idling, otherwise on the road/moving it's pretty cool) I'd also like to get some gas trunk lid struts. With the spoiler on the very rear of the deck, it is MUCH heavier than stock. I cannot lift it with one arm, which is a major pain.

Oh! And, I bought one of those cheap gtech's on ebay. I have yet to find any decent roads to get some 1/4 times, well that and the cop infested area is making this difficult... But I did find out my 0-60 time is 5.54 seconds, which corresponds to some crude stopwatch timing I've done. I have some killer wheelspin when I shift into second, which may be hurting my time, and this was not done "powerbraking", which I'll have to try later.

It's a fun toy. :)
