******The Struggle******
oh my god this is taking forever....
it's just one problem after another... tools that don't work right, wrong size parts, etc. etc. etc. And everything costs money, of course.
the good news is I SHOULD _finally_ have the block put together this weekend.
but so far it's cost me at least $900 more than I thought it would.
Oh, well.
****** the Beginning ******
So, I got myself a Trans Am. It's a 1981 smokey and the bandit edition. But I'm putting a 1972 400 under the hood. Eventually.
The guy I got the car from had it in his garage for like, 20 years. Everything needs work.
So far the engine and tranny aren't in the car yet. And there's no exhaust system, either. And no Cam shaft. And no lots of stuff. Everything I do have is in parts, sitting on the back patio or in tubs.
Let the installation (and spending) begin.
A big thank you to Verner, my boyfriend's mechanic buddy. He's helping me with all the work - for free. Verner you rock! And you cook good quesadillas, too. Don't eat the love, flip.
More pics and updates as I get stuff done.
