Future Plans:

I'll have to admit, I am pretty happy with the car as it currently is. It has more than enough power to hustle around the track, and can defy local speed limits with ease. I really don't need anything faster until I can drive at 95% or more of my car's abilities. I believe you should always have more driver skill than you have horsepower... and I still have plenty of room to work on the driver skill!

As for future mods, I have kicked around the idea of putting in a nice stereo system. However, I would not want to add much weight to the car, as that would be counter-productive for my track events. I would probably skip getting subs, and look for the lightest amp that could meet my needs. I also want satellite radio but don't want an ugly antenna. I guess life is full of compromises. :-)

Another mod I might consider down the road is a Euro 6-speed transmission and a 3.91 rear differential to match. That should be a killer combination and I hear makes a big improvement in acceleration.

Next Car?

I really don't need a new or different car, but I do sometimes enjoy entertaining myself with ideas of getting something different.

I can still dream, right? :-)

Some future candidates include: Lotus Elise or Exige, Porsche 911 of some variation (GT3 would be my first choice), maybe a Corvette C6 Z06 (will have to see/drive one first), Ferrari 360 Modena (way out of my price range...), or maybe a used Acura NSX when prices come down a bit.

I'll also keep an eye on any new BMW's but not really seeing anything that I really like.

I would want my next car to have ~400 HP, and preferably mid-engine. Anything less and I feel like I have something just as good. If I totalled my car next week (knock on wood), I would probably be test driving some used 911's. I do think the rear engine design is a bit flawed, as it carries momentum like a pendulum, but might look past it as the allure sucks me in.

Hi Collin. Nice ride. Funny how going ove things, we've ended up with several similar mods, some identical, RGR's, Koesi's, etc. Even started off with XR4Ti's, I had over 5 of them!!!

Anyway, like what you've done. See you on the forums.

Regards, Alan Coles

Hey collin. I just saw this link in your sig at Bf.c and thought I'd take a look. I'm trying to go down the same path you are so your page gives me some ideas. Let us know when you're in the area. I'd love to drive yours with the LTW flywheel - it's my next mod.
