As you might have guessed, I do not own a smart Roadster, but I would like to. I live in the US and we do not have Smarts here yet. Canada and Mexico do, but not US. The roadster is a cool little car, full of technology but very lightweight and bent on fun.

My 'ultimate car' would be a bare-bones roadster. Manual everything, enough frills to keep me comfortable throughout the year and thats it. I don't need leather covered this, power that, assisted b.s, luxury hoo-hah. Just four wheels, a peppy engine, a few gears to row through, minmal body, and a radio for when i've got the top up and i can't hear the exhaust's music. This car comes pretty close and it's distinctive look is defintely a plus! Great gas mileage from a three-banger and good reliability round out the package. Doesn't necessarily need to be fast, just 'quick', agile and overall, fun to drive!

-BTW- I would have mine red with a silver Tridon cell.

Why would people want to drive a smart car? Wait till your gas prices reach $6/Gal and you will want one too! (The UK is about 0.90/ltr which is just under $6/gal) On thing, you say you want the turbocharger to be optional? You would lose nearly all of the power that the car produces (which isn't alot!) I know, my Roadie went into "limp home" mode which switches off the turbo and 0-60 becomes "some time this week" LOL
