Twin Turbo Conversion

After several months of collecting parts I was finally ready to start. The new set of pictures are all from my TT conversion.

Knock from sever over fueling caused a rod bearing to spin, and took out the whole short block.

It didn't take long for me to get it all back together, but it did take about 4 months to find a suitable replacement engine.

Hey man i was wondering where u got the rims and tires cause its so hard to find some good ones for the twin turbo since it has the later break cal

For everyone asking questions or commenting about the twin-turbo conversion. Since I've been there and done that, in all honesty unless you are very financially secure, I would not bother with modifying a 3000GT including the VR4. It���s a known fact among the 3/S community that the engine design in the 3000GT's engine is flawed. If you can be happy with around 400-450hp, then as long as you find a well maintained lower mileage VR4 motor you will be okay for minor mods to get it up to around 400-450hp. The guys running the big numbers are often having big problems or an extreme budget. I know this is not the response some of you will like, but it���s my opinion and it���s the very reason I sold the car. Simple because my power and performance goals could never be reached in a 3000GT with my budget. Don���t get me wrong, I love the way the cars look and I really enjoyed modifying the 3000GT. I don���t mean to offend anyone, this is just my opinion based off of my personal experiences and performance goals.

if you go to 3si.org they will show all the parts, I want to do the conversion too but im a little concerned with what he said about his first engine not being able to take it i have 120k on my motor currently so it sounds like im not going to do it unless of course i swap the engine, in reality if you want the hp just buy a vr4 engine and swap that in and for all you people who think that isnt possible your wrong the engine isnt all wheel drive and if you look online its been done before i just found it so im pretty sure im just going to buy the whole engine with the turbos that will save me a lot of effort. yes the conversion costs less but with people who have older engines this is the way to go and it will probably run smoother regardless.
