Full frontal. Need i say more?

Nice.
Hey Im Joe and i thought I'd share with everyone else my little project. Its my old mans 1969 Chevy Camaro convertable. I found the car in a feild at my grandmas house when i was about 5, needless to say i loved the car. Heres the dirt on it....
My dad parked it in the feild in 1981, threw a tarp on it and there she sat. The tarp long rotted away in a few years and the car was exposed to the elements. So lots of sitting over the years... In 95' a tree limb fell on it and ripped the top open badly right above the top rear seat. It also bent a few members on the top mechanisum. My dads response, NEW TARP. sweet move?
Anyways i bugged him ever since i found the car at 5 and i was born in 88' so i bugged him plenty. Finnaly the summer of 2003 came around and having the urge to get a cool car i said the heck with it, and towed the beast out myself. And there it begain, 22 years of sitting in new england winters, the body had taken quite a toll needless to say...

So this is the begining of the restoration of that car seen in these pictures.
Please try to keep in mind that I'm 16 and my parents arn't forking cash over like some peoples parents do. Just try to remeber that this restoration will progress as much as a 16 year old's $10 dollars and hour job will allow it too ;)

Pumping up the tires and getting it ready to roll

Another shot of it just as we are ready to move it

Got the Cheyenne towing her out

In the driveway for the first time in 20 some odd years

Underneath the overhang were i worked on it during the summer of 03'

Heres a shot if the cars orgional motor, speedo rolled over and i have documentation of everything on it. 105,XXX miles (reads 5,XXX)
Belive it or not, we got it to start. Not to hard to do.
We yanked out the motor and trans which you'll see in later pages, but it was your average 230 hooked to a powerglide, it wasn't the base model because it had power steering and a console (WOOT)

Shot of the cars origonal 711 standard interrior, many peices are still good and i've reconditioned!
The pages are in order of progress as I continue working on the car. Enjoy!
