Hey real clean R you have. I'm liking that valve cover. Just like JDM25 was saying I would supercharge the Type R instead of turbo, due to the real high compression ratio the R has. I'm not saying you can't have a safe boosted Type R cuz I've seen several running 20psi or higher and one was daily driven. There just has to be lots of prep work done to the motor and lots of tuning. Either direction you choose keep me posted.

Yeah man sure. Here is what i know.Cars that had turbo's that i personally know about detonating or other major engine malfunctions(caused by turbo).......5 integra's, 4 civic si's, 7 regular civic's, 4 S2000's, 2 350Z's,3 mazda speed's, 2 corvette's, 3 mustangs, 2 camaro's. The list goes on man.I've also seen 2 srt4's and 1 evo8 but you gotta get pretty sick with the turbo upgrade on these cars to kill them. The basic rule is a car that comes from factory with a turbo is built 4 the punishment, otherwise stear clear. Now some dudes are gonna argue that turbo is the way 2 go but not from what i've seen. If you change your oil every 1500 miles, make sure to have a kick ass oil cooler,BUILD THE INSIDE OF YOUR ENGINE to handle it, kick ass radiator upgrade, retard your timing just a pinch, get a colder spark ignition, you can more than likely pull it off going from N.A. to turbo. I've done it on 2 of my previous cars but I'm extremely anal about car care, oil change, and engine maintenance. Anyways to end this puppy, You already know how rewarding supercharging can be for a vtec engine. With just a few simple upgrades you can run 9 pounds on a jackson charger and seize the day bro. That is unless you want 2 run 5 pounds safely on a turbo.Bottom line, and i have tons of witness, If your gonna run it real hard and often, you need to stick with supercharge. Anything else i can help with or if i wasn't clear about in the post above just let me know......j.b.
