vip240's 2001 Nissan Altima

"Urban Legend" by VIP Automotive is a 2001 Nissan Altima. I didn't think I'd be adding anything under the hood, I just wanted a good looking car to cruise around in.  But I had a change of heart. I have installed Stillen Headers, an Injen Short Ram Intake and an HKS Hi-Power exhaust to go with the painted valve cover and wiring/hoses wrapped in chrome split loom.  I added 8.5 mm Magnecore ignition wires and replaced the Bosch spark plugs with Pulse Plugs from Pulse Star.  These few changes made a huge difference in the power, acceleration and demeanor of the car.  Also under the hood, moving on to the Suspension department, is a Vibrant strut bar which has been joined by an Eibach Pro-Kit (lowering springs) and Tokiko struts in January.  I also installed a Suspension Techniques Rear Sway Bar to tighten it up in the turns/curves.  Great addition!  I switched out the chrome Alteeza tail lights for a set of black tail lights, the chrome ones are so played out. The Interior received a wood dash kit to go with the Razo racing pedals, Levoc shifter and Levoc e-brake handle, custom made leather brake and shifter boots and a Sound System provided by a Pioneer deck, Eclipse speakers in the doors and on the rear deck and an Eclipse amp and Eclipse 12" subwoofer.  I also added an IPod adapter so I can listen to music straight from my IPod and stop carrying CDs in the car.  Windows stay tinted and some Mercedes SLR-style mirrors will be added sometime next year.  I was rolling on 18" Lexani Krystals wrapped in 225/35 ZR18 Yokohama Parada Spec II's. I was going to buy a new tire/wheel combo, but I love my Lexanis too much. So I went with just the new tires, 225/40 ZR18 Falken Ziex 912s.  Great tires!  Most recently I threw some Stillen cross-drilled rotors and performance pads on it to help control the new power created by the engine mods.  In the Lighting department, I had a set of hyperwhite headlights but have upgraded to an HID kit (80K Blue) to go with the HyperWhite driving/foglights, in-cabin neon and blue LED accents in the center console. I also replaced various factory bulbs with LED bulbs. It makes a huge difference and the car looks great with the HIDs. I also have an Ignited push-button ignition switch to start the car. I had push-button ignition in my Altima 3 years BEFORE Nissan put it in theirs!! Last touches will be an R34 bodykit, lambo doors and a paint job. New pics will be on the way. SUPPORT THE TROOPS!!!!
