Latest News:

Some moron decided that waiting his turn at a red light to turn left was for chumps and pulled right into my drivers fender.  This happened after completely rebuilding my engine (spun bearing one) with an 83 x-11 2.8 that Jason blew up the top end apart.  My friend Matt helped me out even with his bum left hand (beware of chain saws and thumbs!) and saved my bacon.

We competely torn down the motors and swapped one head and the all the rods, lifters, and the cam from my original motor.  Put back to together and it started to dump fuel like a alchocol car, so we discovered THREE injectors decide to lose the pins.  Found a great deal on new injectors to replace with.

Jason got me nice 85 x-11 seats with no tears and just need a good cleaning, plus side panels.

I did buy another 85 x-11 to replace this one, but need a ton of work and am current poor!  Here is the picture of the new car and the damaged one:

OLD News about my X-11 project car! I just sent down my x-11 and a donor car for a new engine swap! Waiting for my friend to get the donor car looked over and torn apart for some minor rebuild on the new motor!

Well the tranny swap when well, but the engine died after the second test run! Spun the #1 bear and chewed up the rod after he pulled the pan. She was trapped until recently in VA and now may see a new drivetrain after I move my 1990 Cutlass Ciera with a 3.3L V6! Grey dash will look nice in my beast! The new car has a 3 speed tranny, which will reduce finding a bunch of shifter components. A bit of good news.

Well we finally got around replacing the failing transmission, which has been a pain in the butt to Jason from Virginia who had that transmission. Found the reason for the Rack & Pinion leak after looking at the boot started leak harder: torn boot hidden in a fold. Leaking heater hose and rust on the heater box (dang animal living in the box).

Driving to work about a week ago, I heard popping noises when I made turns. After the last turn heading down a hill, I realized there was no forward motion when hitting the gas. Thought the tranny finally gave up the ghost, but it was the driver's side CV joint died. It was very cold and the engine still ran to keep me warmer. I have two good CV joints from the old 84 citation! Saved me close to $100 in parts after had both CV joints replaced.

Just had the valve cover/planium gaskets replaced and the fuel injector O-rings replaced, but the Pindle Caps broke off. Ordering new ones once I get the casing number. Had the the second CV joint replaced and the tranny fluid partial flushed.

When down to Virginia in Middle of November and visited Citation Acres to see Jason. Installed a AC Delco Radio, plugs & wires, checked RPM gauge, and replaced the rear brake shoes. Replaced the Battery with top & side terminals version, which makes life a little better.

Just had a new water pump and thermostat installed, plus the rear right drum needed grounded. Plan to get new carpet and better shape seats soon as the money comes in. Putting in Splitfire plugs and wires from the Fiero Store. With the MSD coil, it might do what they claim.... A guy gave me an estimate on fixing the damage on the rear driver's side: $80 to fix it in primer.

Got a new celebrity tank to replace the old rusted tank and about to install a set of Splitfire plugs and wires. Just replaced the broken driver's tail light with one from my 84 and installed LED lights after loosing tons of new ones. Had the rear Brake Cylinders replaced as the old ones were slowing getting worst.

After a cradle bolt snapped loudly when I hit a bump, the shop discovered a fuel leak from the rear. They recommended a new sending unit, but being poor: I found a replacement that had around 70k miles on it. It was in great condition, so I had it installed.

Discovered the problem with the old sending unit after inspecting it, someone fixed the ground as the old sending unit rusted. Drilling a hole and running a wire out is fine, IF you FILL in the hole to prevent water and air leaking into the tank...

The replacement engine with 97k mileages has been installed, but it was very dirty and the transmission was giving problems. Put in a can of engine restorer and drove her on two long trips, which helped get most of the kinks out of the engine/tranny. She's now shifting into 2nd gear and not skipping it. All the current engine pictures are of the original, but will plan to rebuild that engine for the future. Duck tape is no longer necessary to keep that Coil wire attached, since I found a replacement connector at the local GM dealer. Now that it is summer, a MASSIVE cleaning of the interior will be done soon.

New Pictures with some low-end body work done by myself to keep her from rusting out and look better until a good paint job can be done:

The K&N filter and sanded roof for the grey etching primer are the biggest changes, plus pounded out a good section of the dent by the Gas Cap.

Raided the new shocks and Struts from the old citation. The Avenger G/T tires from Mastercraft were grabbed, too.

Here some pictures of the condition of the flooded 84 citation after being slightly gutted. The passenger wheel bearing fell apart while they were pushing her out of the garage and hit a bump.

Duck tape fix for the one coil wire has been replaced by an overly expensive dealer part and the battery tray has become a giant hole towards the front, which was fixed by that piece of metal sitting on the ground.

Remains of the old tray from the blue car and still flaming!

Nice ride! Citation were good cars back in the days, don't see too many out here anymore like I did. when I was in 8th grade in 00', one of my teachers had a brown standard one, i can tell it was standard, it had the original hubcaps on it. You should try to see if you can get a X-11 decal on the side for it. Like that old school sony deck, cool! Keep me posted! Check out my ride and vote!!
