Here's some more interior stuff:
In the style of the 70s custom van, I wanted something furry, but as I think this can be really tacky too, I didn't want to over do it, so what I did was to make the inside of my glovebox fur lined. Hands down it is my absolute favorite part of my van.
I have now installed my Saab seats. They are mounted to a piece of G10, and are then mounted to a swivel pedestal. I plan to reupholster them in the future, but for now, there they sit.
This is the shift knob I fabricated out of an old VW Golf Knob. I pulled out the shift diagram and inserted different images over the years. This one is a scarab from an old Grateful Dead concert poster. It has faded to the point where it's time for a new one.
This is Cap'n Scurvy! He is the pirate who is the captain of my van. He lives on my dash. I made him out of a fishtank decoration. I blame all my bad driving on him.
Chrome steering collumn. Old family secret on how I did this...very sneaky.
