The motor we went with is a 350 TBI from a 92 chev 1/2 ton. The reason i went with this setup basically boils down too money. I wanted fuel injection but at the time couldn't afford a Vortec or any other setup so i went simple.
The truck i pulled the motor, tranny and wiring harness from for the car. It was a SGI (Saskatchewan Government Insurance) write off so the rest of the truck was just stripped for our other vehicles.

Nice hefty order order from Jegs and Speedway for the motor

Didn't go too outrageous on the motor: mildly lumpy cam, Edelbrock intake, new distributor, coil, 8.8 Accel wires, Ebay valve covers and Hooker Shorty headers. I scrapped the serpentine belt setup for a more original V-belt style. I also have a Throttle body spacer which i know is useless but it was cheap.

This is the original 700R4 from the truck. I had a shift kit and whatever else they do to make tighter shifts put into it at the tranny shop. I swapped the digital speedometer tail shaft with an old style cable type, also wired the torque converter lockup valve body to a switch so i can control it manually. Then later on after i blew it up i put a 2000 stall Camaro torque converter back in.

I used the original wiring harness from the truck and just went through it, decided what i needed and snipped out the rest. I didn't like the look of the EGR stuff so i blocked it off and cut the wiring out. I've never done anything with wiring before when i did it so i was shootin in the dark an crossed my fingers it would run an it did. Also with the fuel injection i needed to put the electric fuel pump somewhere. And by shortening the trucks pump to nearly half its height and by piggy backing the Beaumont's fuel sending unit to it i fit it into the original tank.

The rearend is a 12 bolt out of one of my parts cars. its got 3.73's, minispool, moser c-clip eliminators, upper adjustable control arms, no-hop bars, boxed lower control arms, and rear sway bar.

Factory style Four wheel disc brakes with drilled, slotted and zinc coated rotors. All new stainless steel brake lines and braided flex lines front to back. Chrome 8" dual brake booster and reservoir and a B&M line lock to top it all off.
