Dear Pohjola,I have a 2000 Nissan Cefiro AKA Infiniti I30. It has a auto climate control. The compressor always stays on, it never shut off even if u put it to manual and if the ac is activated. I've been reading and it has to have a TCA. There is only one sensor in the evaporator coil, does it need to have 2 sensors one for the climate control and one for the TCA which shut off the compressor? There is a 3 pin plug hanging outside the cooler box and i did not know if this wire is for the Thermo control amp. I recently bought the car and i dont know if some one had remove this TCA unit. Is it just a sensor that occupies that plug or a control box with another sensor attached to that box? Please advice. Thank you so much.

connect a lamp parallel with the compressor supply wire, at the connector. Add Gnd for trhe lamp. Route the wire outside plus tape the lamp so u can see. Now u know at least whether the compressor gets constantly pwr. If it does, the compressor is faulty. Tst: Add new gnd wire to compressor shroud, smtimes gnd just isnt there via attachment bolts.see e-mail address on page 1
