w00t w00t! New audio gear. Got a Alpine 9851 Headunit from my girlfriend this christmas. Then when I got home I got some 6.5 Alpine Type S 2-way speakers. I know it's not brand new/top of the line, but Im not really hard-core into audio. As long as it sounds decent it'll work. So my father and I put it in this weekend, luckily everything works. Check it out!
Speakers :-D
Headunit :-D

Remote (sorry i just had to take a picture)

My Alpine V12 AccuClass-D. It runs 500 x 1 @ 2 Ohms, but the birth sheet says more:). I tucked it behind the seat so it was hidden but very accesable.
This is my X1244 12" Xtant subwoofer. It's rated at 500 watts RMS and 2000 Max. It runs dual 4 ohms. It kicks and sounds like a motha. Just needs lots of juice.

All the bloody wires from the last car waiting to meat my new baby.
My old set up. Box Custom Made by your's truly out of 3/4 inch MDF.
Didn't fit perfect so back to the drawing board.

My very ghetto set up for 2 weeks while i worked on different box set ups. With the old box from my Tahoe.
My new setup

As you can see its a tight fit and there is not alot of area for movement. And without a port to move all the air on the sub, the sub has been coming off the screws and hitting the floor. So next project is to port it and carpet so it doesn't rub the ladies the wrong way when they stratle it.
Got the box ported and it sounds way better, and i can get better volume out of it too. It's still no where the size it needs to be but is pretty responsive with the smaller box(Considering i barely have enough amp to move it). I also put apoxy on all the seals and sanded it down. Looks like some spilled all over it but sounds awesome with no leaks. Cant decide what type of cover im gunna put on it. Ideas let me know!
