INTERIOR CHANGES
Here is a before and after pic of the interior.
Here are the details.
First the interior was all stripped out.
All of the interior was dyed using SEM colorcoat paint. I sprayed all the trim, seats, dash and even the carpet with black. The headliner and sail panels were done in a light grey.
I used a Wheelskins leather cover to repair the steering wheel.
Here are some pics of the steering column removed to center the steering.
The gauge faces were changed to a silver face from SPEEDHUT GAUGES
First the dash was removed from the car
Here is the old dash before the install and paint.
These are the original gauge faces.
This is the kit I used from Speedhut. It came with all the gauge faces plus the tranformer for the lighting. There is a switch installed under the dash to change the lighting to either blue or green.
Here are the gauges removed from dash and disassembled.
Here are the gauge faces all installed. The installation is fairly easy once the dash is out. You just have to be careful sliding the faces over the needles.
I used this product from 3M to polish the plastic lenses on the gauges. It works real good on them and also the tail lights to remove haze and scratchs.
Here is the dash ready to be installed. While it was out I replaced the defroster vents. They are a common problem with these cars, as they crack.
Here are some pics of the new gauges lit up with the 2 colors

Hey you might be interested in becoming a member of JDMports Social Network. It's for Mitsubishi 3000GT & Dodge Stealth fans. Check the site out at http://www.JDMports.com. It's brand new so there may or may no be much on there at the moment, but I would like to see this site grow, so members can socialize together, share photos of their cars, post cool racing videos, chat, etc. Let me know what you think. Thanks. -Steve JDMports http://www.JDMports.com
