ENGINE REBUILD
Here are some pics of the engine rebuild.
This is what the engine compartment looked like before I started.
Here is what my old bearings looked like.
This is all that's left from #6 rod bearing.
The engine was sent out for machining. They rebored the cylinders,ground the crankshaft,resized the connecting rods,installed the pistons onto the rods,decked the block and heads,balanced the entire assembly. I did all the assembly work on the engine.
These are the Wiseco forged pistons I installed in the engine.
Here they are ready to be installed
Here is the block ready for the crankshaft to be installed.
These are the Cleevite 77 rod and main bearings that I used. Here is a pic of plastigauging the bearings.
Here are pics of the cylinder heads. They had the valve seats refaced, the valves were refaced and swirl polished. The deck surfaces were also refaced.The ports were also gasket matched and a mild port and polish was done.
this is the Cometic high performance head gaskets that were used.
