This is my 5.0L '91 Notch AOD. It was formerly a 4cyl 5 speed car. Its got its 5oh stuff from a donor 89 GT which was a rustbucket. The previous owner converted the car, and he did EVERYTHING. Fuel and brake lines,power steering and every engine sensor. He did it right too. i only need to do some minor work to make this car a solid street machine. There's a little rust under the battery tray from coolant that was spilt in there, and it needs a computer, which the previous owner is giving me. ***UPDATE*** I changed the oil, and i got a Die Hard Gold battery from Sears. I also replaced the wires, plugs and cap and rotor with FRPP stuff, I also have a PCV valve and fuel filter i need to install... but i need it to warm up first.
Neither car, this nor the '89 donor, were ever in accidents. The motor and driveline (anything from the 5 oh car) has about 64k miles on it. The shell and interior have about 98K miles on them. the car runs strong, but i have yet to have fun withe it, because of the need of a computer. Plus, im 16 and i get my license in May. I bought this car with my own, hard earned money, and I think I bettered myslef by doing so.
Immediate needs are: using the POR15 I got on the rust spots, replacing the boots on the PS rack and outer tie rod ends, and a complete shampooing and cleaning of the interior.
I need to align the hood, and the driver side fender, (the door hits when opened)
A quick shampoo and cleaning, and its back to perfect. ***UPDATE*** I have decided to do a rear seat delete, new carpet and 94+ seats, so im lookng for seats.
Thats my pops in the backround, don't mind him.
The trunk is perfect, the only problem is the cardboard layout underneath the carpet is warped really bad.
