Here is a model car 1966 Continental Coupe from ProRodz.  Put some wide whites on it with steel rims so this is the effect I'm going for.  Suede paint too is a must on this project!!!

The interior was wrapped in a valor blanket to cover up the original nylon seats which were in pretty good shape just a lil faded and a few threads not holding. buddy67lincoln's 1967 Lincoln Continental

SOLD (I think!) I have this all original 1967 Continental black leather rear seat which will fit the convertible, 4 door, and a coupe. It is for sale if anyone is interested. I have a lot of other parts too, so if you need something for a coupe, I might have some extra parts. email me at jdlyman243@gmail.com

Here are some transmition pics. buddy67lincoln's 1967 Lincoln Continental I just got the original C6 rebuilt and adjusted to give me that shift kit kick! It cleaned up nice and my old man painted it up with some extra paint laying around. Its a silver pewter color. buddy67lincoln's 1967 Lincoln Continental
Also, is the driveshaft all painted up. These parts are ready for installation. All the universal joints were replaced.

She needs a lot of work and a lot has gone into it already. Bought it dead on the side of the road (typical Ford). Got it for $500 with no brakes to keep it from rollin away and not even so much as a crank from the motor.

I got lucky and and bumped the neutral safety switch while running troubleshooting tests and heard a 'click' and thought, "what did I do!?!?" and gave the ignition a turn of the key and a healthy crank errupted! Then I got it runnin, rebuilt the old carb, installed a complete brake system with new brake booster and lines/hoses, master cylinder, wheel cylinders etc. Got the original front disc brakes cut and new brakes all around, filled the master cylinder up and it stopped for the first time since 1985. Got a new carb later on; Edelbrock 750 CFM elec choke 4 barrel. Pertronix Flame Thrower II coil and electronic ignition. Finally, a new elec fuel pump and it ran surprisingly smooth. Later we take it for a cruise around the block and parked it. Some body work was done over the summers including handbuiling the driver's side floorpans from galvanized metal, hand fabbed rocker panels replacing the old ones that had a molding I didnt want anymore. The truck and hood are all done in medium blue primer for a suede look. The belt line down I decided will be silver primer (or just light gray) primer kos the two tone look is awesome.

I have a rendering somewhere on this site of what it should look like with what I've got. No 22's or pearl paint, just mild 60's, wide whites, primer coated lead-sled.

I do all the body work myself with my father in the garage. From hand forming the patches around the wheel well openings with a metal shrinker and strecher to the floorboards, its all done at home. I have had some help with the hood and the trunk lid allowing my dads auto body students to work on them for class. He teaches at a vo-tech school and gives the ones who can do it the chance to work on a classic car. My father and I are hardly able to work on his car and mine at the same time. He has a '67 Buick Skylark (I will add pics later). I am too eager to get that car on the road after 5 years now, so I gave his students the chance to help out. I will do all the heavy work with designing and fabricating, but the students can take care of some lighter work. They even patched the hole in the deck lid for me usin glue instead of welding; its new stuff and it works well. I thought it was intersesting, so I let them at it and it turned out nice I think. I am done talkin now, thanks for lookin and keep checkin out the site, progress is in motion so more pics might shoot up soon. buddy67lincoln's 1967 Lincoln Continental

This is a sneak peak of some ideas I had about black rims with a chorome lip and some red brake caliper with big discs. Next is a pic of another paint scheme with black rims again. Let me know what you think. These ideas cannot come true will I actually have money. Its budget beater for now. buddy67lincoln's 1967 Lincoln Continental buddy67lincoln's 1967 Lincoln Continental

Hey dude - got your message over a year later after you posted it! My car has been in the shop since September 2006, so its almost been forgotten in the forefront of my mind. However, now it is out at the end of this month so I updated everything. Nice Lincoln! I love the old Continentals, and among Fords this vintage is right up there with the '55 Thunderbird for design. Parts are hard to come by, but a lot of outfits in the midwest work on stuff. I'm sure you have looked at Hemmings, but also check some of the platform mates of the Continental and other cars you are restoring for parts. For example, the floorpan and rug of my '56 Pontiac was shared with the '56 Chevy.
