1967 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL 4 DOOR PARTS CAR

This sucker is my latest buy.  Its a 30,600 original mile rust free 4 door!  Originally a Florida car but lived some part of its like on the road in PA since the inspection sticker says PA '89.  It was sitting abandoned in a house that no one seemed to own so the real estate or bank or whoever needed this and a 75-6 or so Granville Convertible I think it was removed.  The Lincoln was in great shape so the tow truck driver put it in his junk yard.  2 months later I was getting my other parts car (shown on page 1) delivered to my father's shop for stripping and my dad's buddy had a 1931 Chrysler deliverd by the tow truck driver who had this Lincoln.  He saw my parts car and did a double take and asked whos it was.  He said he had one and I thought...if you need parts, let me know.  He said that he needed to get rid of it.  I was curious about the price so he told me scrap value!  Told me to come take a look and he said it was 'rust free' and in 'great shape'  I thought yeah right, these things rot in PA.  I went the next day and sure enough I was shocked!  This sucker is near perfect.  Not an ounce of rust in the usual places like my coupe.  I have myself a great parts car.

I need the front fenders bad, I now have 2 trucnks, good rear quarter sections I can use and another trunk jam in nice shape.  Plus drive train!  All the engine parts were in the truck and the keys in the glove box!  I brought it home in November '08.  I will get it inside the garage next to the coupe and start the surgery!  I can't wait and by the way the car has no title so thats another reason to part it out.  Everything else is up for grabs pretty much except the driver's side vent panel in the dash.  I am trying to get the wiring hooked up to see what works.  This car is stripped down in options with only an 8 way power bench seat (which will also go in my coupe if it works).  No power locks, no AM/FM or 8 track, no leather, no vinyl top, etc.  Plain jane just like my coupe.  Hope I can help someone out with parts so email me or call.  jdlyman243@gmail.com

Hey dude - got your message over a year later after you posted it! My car has been in the shop since September 2006, so its almost been forgotten in the forefront of my mind. However, now it is out at the end of this month so I updated everything. Nice Lincoln! I love the old Continentals, and among Fords this vintage is right up there with the '55 Thunderbird for design. Parts are hard to come by, but a lot of outfits in the midwest work on stuff. I'm sure you have looked at Hemmings, but also check some of the platform mates of the Continental and other cars you are restoring for parts. For example, the floorpan and rug of my '56 Pontiac was shared with the '56 Chevy.
