impreza294's 1999 Subaru Impreza

This is my 1999 Impreza Turbo which I bought last year.
Please let me know in the Guestbook what you think about it!

The European Impreza Turbo has 218 hp in standart spec, is equipped with racing seats and has many more nice details.

Here is a list of the mods, I'll try and remember all of them...
I'll also try to describe them correctly in english, I'm afraid I don't know all the right words for the parts.

exterior:
-slightly (tastefully) mod'd front including
-P1 style front lip from zerospec.com
-grilles
-front and rear clean of badges
-clear indicators all around
-original STI taillights
-several details painted in car color
-OZ Superturismo GT 7,5x17 rims with Pirelli P Zero Nero size 215 40 17 tires.

interior:
-oil temp gauge on A pilar (8 different selectable colors)
-panasonic stereo with
-8 CD-Changer under the passenger seat
-MacAudio Mackiner subwoofer
-red interior lights
-sparco pedals
-momo steering wheel (that's actually standard)

engine and performance:
-APEX'i AVC-R
-IHI VF29 ball bearing turbo
-forged pistons
-Perrin lighter flywheel/pulley
-bigger STi intercooler
-K&N Filters
-decat downpipe
-Inoxcar high-grade steel exhaust (great sound!!)
or Prodrive P1 exhaust
-strenghtened clutch
-STi V6 transmission
-slotted/crossdrilled front brakes with
-the callipers sprayed blue...
-H&R stage 1 suspension
-front strut bar

I think that's everything.

It has a few more horses than those standard 218...

I got the new rims I wrote about before here, I didn't go for the OZ Prodrive but changed my mind and bought OZ Superturismo GT's instead. It took me really long to decide which rims I should get 'cause there are sooo many! But I'm VERY satisfied with my choice, they look fabulous!!! They change the whole car! This is the only picture I have so far, unfortunately the weather was crap when I got them..

Otherwise I'm not planning on changing a lot about the styling, I like it the way it is and I don't want it to look like crazy. And the engine doesn't need any more tuning.
The only thing that I'll maybe change in the near future is the sound system. And I've started thinking about an STi rear wing... We'll see.

News: Got new Sparco racing Seatbelts.

News (07/12/05):

-killed the transmission, so ordered a STi Version 6, still waiting for it, but should arrive shortly.. (hope so)

-bought a new exhaust: Prodrive P1!!!! (if "P1" says nothing to you, get off my page! ;))) ) Gonna mount it when the transmission is here, can't wait to hear it!

-my picture page with my pictures of my Impreza and other great cars is now online. The pictures are between 1024x768 and 1600x1200 pixels in size.. so you're invited to visit at impreza.fotopic.net

(for example there's an R34 GT-R..)

Update 09/30/05
The Tranny arrived at the beginning of August and has since then been installed, now my GC8 is in top shape again!

I also installed a new front lip, it looks a lot better than the crappy old renault thing! It's a P1 replica from the netherlands and give's it a great P1 style look! Unfortunately I haven't been able to take any decent pictures of it yet. But I love it!

Next thing to come is a MRT 22B rear wing. I also ordered a Walbro 255 fuel pump along with it to feed my engine properly.

Almost forgot:
I got some original japanese STI taillights! Unbelievable how much better they make the car look! You Altezza haters were all right!
But I don't have pictures of them either. I'll take some good ones as soon as the new Wing is installed and post them some time.

I hope you all have as great conditions as we have to drive around in an Impreza.

Most people never run far enough on their first wind to find out they've got a second. Give your dreams all you've got and you'll be amazed at the energy that comes out of you. Great, clean & best one ride. 5* Keep up the good work
