Suspension Install

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJHere it is. The first cut with the Plasma torch. Have to cut off all of the stock lower control arm brackets.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJHere is the front end. All apart. Front axle on jackstands.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJHere is where one of the lower control arm brackets USED to be.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJHere is where the rear axle USED to be.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJHere is the rear axle, Dana 35, sitting in my driveway. This is when the wife started to get nervous. She pulled up right after this. Prepping it to remove the stock UCA brackets, weld the brake line holes and vent closed.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJAnother shot of the rear before cutting.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJHere I am tacking on the rear truss for the upper triangulated long arms.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJHere, I am welding on the truss.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJMore of me welding on the rear.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJGrinding and cleaning it up.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJHere is the rear, with the truss welded on, brakelines relocated, painted, ready to go back in.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJHere, I am removing the stock tailpipe. I cut the cat and muffler off as well, and had to just do something custom to clear the long arms. I ended up relocating the O2 sensor, extending the wiring, and getting a muffler that was about 15" in the body, then just used a turn down. It is now neatly contained in the belly pan, out of harms way.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJHere, I am welding on one of the new control arm brackets. With the Claytons arms, the rear brackets hold the lower and the upper arms. The uppers are tucked behind the frame.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJHere is the rear, just about back in. You can see the triangulated 4 link here.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJHere is a shot of the NP 231 transfer case, before I installed the JB conversions Super Short SYE.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJHere is the front, almost back together. And my friend Rich.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJHere is the rear, just about finished. Just need to weld on the shock mounts.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJHere is the front, all done.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJhere is a shot of the front pass side. shows the RE coils, shocks, OME Stabiliser.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJHere it is. All done. For the first time in 4 days, back outside under her own power.

CrashFireRescue's 1999 Jeep TJAnother shot. Completed. More to come soon!
