And the story begins...
Here it is. On it's first day at it's new home. It had everything that I wanted to start with. 4.0L, 5 speed, dual tops, hard doors, A/C....
...and as you can see, alot more then I wanted as well. Sorry folks, I am just not into chome.
These are just wrong. Please do not do this. They make rockers that are of 3/16" steel, and they serve a purpose.
So this was my first project. To "de-bling" the Jeep. I started with these rocker panels. What a mess!
With quite an assortment of chemicals, the sticky goo finally came off. Surprised I didn't have a hazmat incident in my driveway, with all the stuff I was mixing.
And here we go! Bling be gone... well, at least the rockers... now we gotta do something about them bumpers. And man, this thing sits way to low...
I had to throw this one in. The kids seem to love it. This was their first ride in daddy's new Jeep. No top, no doors, no problem right?
