1993 GMC Typhoon #1473, ultra rare Garnet Red color. Last I heard was less than 10 were made in this color, but I don't have proof. Typhoon's were made in 1992 and 1993, 2500 made in '92, and 2200 in '93. Typhoons came stock with a turbocharged & intercooled 4.3L V6 rated at 285hp, and all wheel drive. It is for sale as well. Has just over $70k miles. Engine is all stock. New tires, brakes (see pic), intercooler pump, inner & outer tie rods, adjusting sleeves, upper & lower ball joints, idler arm, ZQ8 steering gearbox, Renz steering shaft, new oil filter lines, new turbo oil lines, and valve seals. Just tuned up with AC Delco plugs, GM cap and rotor, and Magnecore 8.5mm plug wires. Runs excellent. Paint still shines as seen in pics. Asking $14k obo email me at losonoma99@aol.com for any more questions.

Well, the Typhoon started to leak oil from a few places, so it's going under the knife and getting rebuilt. How far I get into it, I don't know. But here are how far I am after day 1.

Hey, thanks for the info. Like I said never could get even a look at one. I asked my local Chevy dealer and he said they had got one Typhoon, ordered somewhere else and shipped here for a big shot at the GM plant near by. I know that guy still has his, no idea who owns the Syclone all I do know is they live near the GM plant, most likely work there as well. I know that one guy has made a "Clone" but it's every easy to tell it's fake. I'm going to do some more work on my truck tomorrow, making plates to install speakers in the back corners. This is one of a few mods I'm working on, so pictures will come a little later. I'll be laid off at Christmas so if I can buy what I need I'll have the time to hopefully finish the insides of the cab then. I'll check out that site, even though I'm not a drag racer I still think the cars are great. Later

Beautiful, not enough of these things out there. I hope i can find one someday. 99% of all people have no clue what these really are and that they even exist. the power is insane.

Hey, Awesome trucks! , think I can count Typhoons I've seen over the years on one hand, hard to believe that was way back then '93 already, remember reading MotorTrend when they came out, they were impressed by the acceleration, were thay all-wheel drive?..don't remember...I had a 1994 S-10 Blazer pg.#2, was a great truck, never used oil even at 160,000 miles, I had the vin W, stronger ,motor(CPI), think vin Z had a little less power , ..Your Sonoma is gonna be sweet as ever when complete...Do you have a web site or maker for the leds you prefer?....Good Luck!!!
