Auto-X Racing
This page is dedicated to my newfound sport Auto-X (autocross) Racing. Here you will find pictures/videos of me and my friends cars, including all the guys from the local SCCA sanctioned events we attend. Videos are located within each event its related to.
Our local SCCA Chapter is brand spanking new here in Myrtle Beach, click HERE for more info. If your in the area and are interested there is a monthly meeting held on the 3rd Thursday, 7 PM @ Kart Trax. Kart Trax is @ 38th N behind Hooters. We also get deeply discounted rates for the go-carts after the meeting.
Order of pictures are oldest at the bottom going to the newer pictures and updates towards the top.
Here is an example of what one of the courses look like. Keep in mind that they are never the same, they change every month!
Following pics are from the Myrtle Beach event on April 9th, 2006 @ Waccamaw Pottery. 59 cars showed up!!!

The first set here are of course my KIA tearing up the track. Notice even the smoke coming from tires in the hard left turn as they bite down on the asphalt! The car did remarkably well being that this is the first time that I have been able to race the car since installing the springs, headers, short-shifter, and new performance plugs.

Here is my friends cars: Aarons you've seen before we've been competing against each other since day one. The other car is a 5 series BMW from here in Myrtle Beach.

These are the rest of the auto-x's having a blast as usual...

Following Pics are from our first event October 3rd, 2004
The Spectra and I are getting ready to stretch our legs at our first event.
A tight left turn here shows the suspension really working, a nice rear sway bar from Bill @ Kia-FX would be nice here!!
Believe it or not I didn't knock down this cone. They lay one down on the inside corner so you know which way to turn. This is the last hard turn before the finish. You can see how hard the car is leaning here, I can't wait for the SPRINGS!!!
A 72 yr old man races both of these cars.
If you haven't seen one of these driving around your neighborhood, its called a Lotus Elise and just for 2005 its been introduced into the US. We've seen a couple before at the races but they were not street legal. Extremely light and powered by the Toyota Celica 1.8L it can really move!
Here is a shot of my transporter for my car when we go out of town... Yeah Right! But I would love to grab this beautiful ride one day! Completely equipped to sleep 8 and its a garage on wheels as well!

This guy said he was a novice but he was really good, he kept messing up our standings!
This guy tears up the track and is the one that mentored me and my friend Aaron (Scion tC). His car is completely stock yet with his YEARS of driving experience he trophies high every year.

Here are some pictures of my friend Aaron's Scion tC at the track.

Pictures from February 6th, 2005
Since Aaron (Scion tC) and I were both driving at the same time my wife had to take the pictures. She did great for her first time using the camera! No naratives for each pic, I'll just post them.
