I live in Australia, but I'm a Yank (American). I've been here 20 years, and I'm not going back, except to visit Mom and the family in NYC.
I'm a geologist, and have worked all over the continent (Australia is the only national continent on the planet!) as well as overseas.
I drive a Toyota Landcruiser Troopcarrier model HZJ78 with an aftermarket Mitsubishi turbocharger, Cooper 285/16 tyres, LightForce 270mm spotlights, Outback drawer system, UHF and AM radios, Engel 40 litre fridge/freezer and Pioneer CD stereo.
I'm planning a Carputer system based on the VIA EPIA MII 12000 mobo, with a 7" or 8" touchscreen, CD/DVD, GPS nav software, etc. and I'm looking for comments - is HDD reliable enough? Power supply issues, etc. Any assistance greatly appreciated!
