These pics are of the first real stage of the body work. The whole rear of the car (A-pillar back) has been stripped to bare metal and is now coated with a blue sealer. The right rear quarter panel has been replaced but is not welded on yet.
73_mach1's 1973 Ford Mustang This is the back end after being primed with the blue sealer.
73_mach1's 1973 Ford Mustang Left quarter panel. We have started filling in the low spots that are up near the roof.
73_mach1's 1973 Ford Mustang This is the new quarter panel skin hung in place. A word of advice-don't buy Taiwan sheet metal, it doesn't fit well without modifications.
73_mach1's 1973 Ford Mustang This door is completely finished and all it needs is a final prime before painting.
73_mach1's 1973 Ford Mustang This is the roof after being stripped and sealed. Many of the dents were pulled out but a few need to be filled.
73_mach1's 1973 Ford Mustang Here is the roof after being filled, primed, and sanded smooth. It is completely done now.
73_mach1's 1973 Ford Mustang Here is the left quarter panel. It is also finished as well.
73_mach1's 1973 Ford Mustang This is the left front fender after being primed. There are a few more spots to finish up and then it can be sanded and finished.
73_mach1's 1973 Ford Mustang This is the rear tail light panel. It is completely done now.
73_mach1's 1973 Ford Mustang Here is the driver's side door. There are a couple spots to finish and then it can also be sanded. There is currently a different door on the car.
73_mach1's 1973 Ford Mustang The trunk lid is finally done now. It took a lot of work but all that is left to do is sand it smooth.
73_mach1's 1973 Ford Mustang Here is the left side of the car. Everything is basically done on this side. The red door is a spare and will not be staying on there.
73_mach1's 1973 Ford Mustang This is the right rear quarter panel. There has been a new skin welded on and all that is left to do it finish out a few deep scratches.
73_mach1's 1973 Ford Mustang Here is the right front fender after being sanded down and having a patch panel welded in. It is now sealed, filled, and primed, and only a bit more work is needed.

Hi Kyle, nice work. Get your dad to get going on his Stang. Next time I see your Mustang, I will check it out. I seen her sitting at the shop a couple of weeks ago. I don't have a Mustang, but they are one of my favourites, and have been since I was a teen. Keep up the great work, she's pretty darn sweet. Bob.

I love the `73 Mach, she's beautiful in that color. Nice work on the body and the engine compartment. My son runs a Cleveland in his `67--he loves them. He is getting ready to build his fourth and use his current as a spare--this one doesn't have enough HP for him, so... Keep up the good work and enjoy! Hope the weather warms up for you soon.
