My goal is to bring her back to her original glory days, when this car was the ultimate American cruiser...
Original paint color, replated chrome, removed and re-polished all stainless steel trim, convertible top, custom made vinyl that matched the original factory stuff, new Leather upholstery, new mechanicals for the top, original style carpet, trunk material, decals, rebuilt engine, transmission, drive line, exhaust, entire brake system including new stainless steel brake lines mostly all bought from the renown firm of Baker's Auto in Connecticut, who specializes in vintage Lincolns of this era.
I added the factory options of the auto headlight dimmer and cruise control from other donor cars to upgrade this car.
Redoing the electric and hydraulic controls for the top. I have since repainted the hinges the silver/blue body color, since they were originally that way from the factory, but did not take new photos.
Notice the little weather stripping clips, I had made them to match the originals- I know a little anal..
Reproductions of the originals..
Nice Interior,Yes? Just need some touch ups.....
Ripped out and replaced miles of vacuum lines, rebuilt switches, fixed wiring, etc.
Update-Still working on it
now has a steering wheel at least..
Dash now done...
hidden speakers. I have also since added the missing trim around the glove box door button- lots of little details!
I hid a 4 channel power amp behind the jack stowage compartment
