Believe it or not, this started out as a simple car stereo installation for the wife's grocery getter. During the process of buying the components, I picked up a copy of "Super Street" and saw that there were very few Neons (if any) covered. Being an 'old school' MOPAR fan (my first car was a `67 Dodge Coronet 440), I started to convert the car into something worthy of note. The photos chronicle phase I. Next comes the engine work! I'd like to thank Mattos Auto Paint Supplies in Beltsville MD for their technical assistance, as well as the folks at Advance Auto Parts #9046 in Laurel MD in keeping the supply of interior paint up while I was working on the interior. Future plans are to either perform an SRT motor swap, or rebuild the existing 2.0L SOHC in preparation for turbo kit. Will also perform transmission swap to manual, as the current transmission is lacking. Any suggestions or comments are welcome and appreciated

Finally! Phase I completed

The wife and kids in 'her' new, used car - little did she know what was in store . . . . .
The joys of car stereo installation. Note the color of the Sony Xplod speakers

Looking for the harness that goes to the tweeters
The system was lacking a little bass. Can't just put 12" subs in just any enclosure
