Freemont Street 2007. No major changes. small makeover in the next couple months. Click here for wallpaper size
Check outVOLKSARAMA.COM for a TON of awesome VW pics, T shirts and other stuff!
June 2007 - Alot of stuff going on, but it's almost to hot outside to do anything about it. Just got all my new stuff to build an Airkewld Dual bag air beam which should loosen up the front end a lot. I haven't talk to anybody running it yet so we will see what happens. ALSO I got a couple gallons of Resin and have started building the Center console for the CD Player. After that I can start the Enclosure for 4 subwoofers :)
March 2007 - Bumped the rear tires from 205/50R16 up to 205/55R16 to go a little faster on the freeway (drove to Phoenix and back last weekend) Looks Beefy and the Muffler is still on the ground when dropped! Still haven't Started the Interior. I might by some Resin this week if I get the motivation.
Temporary door panels. Complete fiberglass interior when I get around to it.
April 29 '06- 1 5/8 Merged ceramic header with Dynamax Fatboy Ceramic Muffler. need to get some better pics. Looks pretty cool from the back. The thing is huge! I might get bigger rear tires if they will fit in the fenders now that I can't drop as low anyway. Drove all the way to Phoenix but didn't get as good milage as before due to the Lower profile Tires. April 14 2006 - Installed Airkewld Bad Brakes with Wilwood racing calipers. bolted right on to the link pin dropped drum spindles I already had. Also Chrome 16x7 and 16x8 Porsche 968 wheels with 205/40R16 in front and 205/50R16 in rear. Feb 2006 - Installed chrome bumpers all around. Now have 5" narrowed beam up front with Single airbag. Mad 3 wheel action both ways. Replaced all Heim joints in rear with Chromoly after breakage. Replaced rear airbags with Slam Specialties Triple Ply bags. A little bit stiffer ride but lifts faster and Higher. Still rides better than stock. Using Big Reds and 1/2" airline all around. Drove over 750 miles round trip last weekend to Phoenix show. Tons of fun.
Video for your enjoyment
Jan 23 2006 - Building 4 1/2" narrowed beam this week...Spark it or park it. Jan 31 2006 - Got held up waiting for some parts to come in. Should be here tonight. After beam cleanup and whatnot It looks it will almost be a 5" narrowed. he he. Jan 13 2006 - Took apart my speedo again. Installed Airkewld speedo dial face, drilled holes and put in LEDs to light it up, and turned the numbers back to zero, since now I have the speedo hooked up and odometer working for the first time in 5 or 10 years.
All electric Air ride Technologies Valves are installed as well as the 5 gallon tank and E Pro controller. Raise time is well under 1 second.
I wanted to use an Alternator instead of a generator, but the one on the new engine was an old one that required a voltage regulator.. So instead of wiring up the regulator, I bought and installed a New Polished 95 amp model.
