Another dilligaf87 1987 Pontiac Grand Prix post...
This is the new vette motor that has been dropped in. I will have more pics for you soon.
The cylinder heads have a 1.94" intake and a 1.50" exhaust valves that are sprung with 1970 vette LT1 valve springs. The 64cc chambers yield a healthy, but streetable 9to1 compression ratio.the modern dual pattern cam is the same as the old 65 to 67 vette 327 cam.It has slightly more lift and duration on the exhuast side to clear the exhuast from the combustion chamber better. The duration and lift on the intake was slightly decreased to build more cylinder pressure. The result is a cam that makes great torque and horsepower.
In the near future I will have pics of it in my car.The unfortinute part is that my disk drive is wrecked but i will load the pics as soon as possible.Shes already runnin and on its way to the exhaust shop.
This is my engine after i bought a new air filter,a chrome breather cap,and a chrome water neck.
