The wheels:
O-Z Racing Nova ST
18" x 8.5" Wheels all around.
This is THE FIRST GM B-Body
or D-Body to have these
O-Z "Nova ST" Wheels.
I've been running them since 2005.
There are a couple dozen
B & D-Bodies with them now...
I searched for over two years to find these wheels.
These have been discontinued by
O-Z Racing since the mid 1990's.
For tires, I am running
Pirelli Assimetrico 285 40 18's
all around.
The entire suspension was rebuilt and upgraded.
This was a huge change for the car,
as we did this all at once!
We had the entire suspension
off the car at the same time.
When we were done,
it was like driving a whole new car!!!!
Moog Problem Solver parts along with
Energy Suspension Poly-Graphite Bushings
replace all rubber bushings.
To get the ride height right,
and help this big car handle...
Eibach "Pro Kit" Impala SS
Lowering Springs were installed.
Bilstein Shocks were chosen to assist
the Eibach Springs and Energy Suspension
Poly-Graphite Bushings help
the 'Monster handle...
Red powdercoated GM Impala SS
Sway Bars were added.
This RM did not have a
rear sway bar originally...
UMI Performance Upper and Lower
Rear Control Arms replace
the flimsy stock units.
They are loaded with
Energy Suspension
Poly-Graphite Bushings.
SSBC (Stainless Steel Brake Corp.)
"Force 10" Calipers &
BAER Brakes DecelaRotors
help slow the 'Monster down...
Goodridge G-Stop Braided
Stainless Steel Brake Lines &
new Powdercoated Drums
finish off the brake system...
...for now.
Some day the rears will be replaced
with SSBC Calipers when I do a
rear disc brake conversion.
The end result is a surprisingly well handling
and great stopping two-ton beast!
She's big.
She's fast.
She can handle.
She can stop on a dime.
