My transmission was rebuilt and

upgraded with performance parts.

Hughes Finned Aluminum Transmission Pan.

It is a thing of beauty.

Bought it here:   Oregon Performance Transmission

I have an Edge 3000 stall torque converter.

(Stock TC stalls @ 1400 rpm. )

A TransGo Stage 2 Shift Kit & other performance

parts were used in the rebuild.

Byran Herter has programmed my PCM

specifically for the mods

and torque converter.

New GM transmission cooler lines

were purchased from Dal Slabaugh.

Clear Image Automotive Tubular Cross Member

and Driveshaft Safety Loop.

I have a CIA Tubular Cross Member

powdercoated in RED.

I also have a red METCO

Driveshaft Safety Loop.

The above pic shows what a tubular

cross member & DS safety loop are.

I also have a an Eaton Posi w/ 3.73 gears.

Preparations have begun...

for a T-56

(Six Speed Manual Transmission)

Conversion

4L60E Tubular Crossmember top.

T-56 Crossmember bottom.

If I was going to only drag race my RM,

the automatic would be the best choice.

That said, the T-56 will be a better

"all around" street transmission.

When the T-56 goes in,

we'll also swap to 4.10 gears,

which is a better match for the T-56 gearing.

There's nothing better than shifting

a performance car manually!

This modification will happen after

the heads/cam package is installed.

That is one hell of a write up on the Roadmonster. Didn't realize how much potential those had. Tastefully modded, just like GM would have done it. 5 stars.

man i dont even know where to start because im in shock over your car. I wish gm could start making these roadmasters again so they could build it just like yours, the right way it should have been done from the start! i see we will have a similar setup with the twin induction. i had no idea about you or your car and mods, then i ran across your page and it was like the gods were talkin to me. im really glad i have found you and im sure i'll have a few questions for you as i start my lt1 build and completing my mods. you have the best looking LT1 engine in the world in my opinion and i'll have the 2nd lol.make sure you check my ride out and tell me what you think because i'll be waiting. 1 million stars for you
