This is my 1967 mercury comet caliente
It is still in the restoration process. This has been a long process over the past four years. I have taken two cars and turned them into one. I took a bare shell, no motor, doors, glass, interior or floor pans, and completely rebuilt it using parts from another car, plus some new reproduction parts.
I have recently rebuilt the stock 390 GT. It has been bored .030, due to a scratch in one of the cylnders. Added an edelbrock rmp performance intake along with a 700 holley carb.
Here are some pictures of the engine from start to finish.
A fresh block and heads just back from the machine shop.
Just added the intake, valave covers, oil pan, timing chain cover, and some paint.
Added the C6 automatic transmission after a filter + oil change and some fresh paint.
The engine compartment after a good cleaning and paint job.
The engine is in the car, complete and running.
