Heres sophia, my 1975 bmw 2002. I got her after my cousin got an earlier round tail 2002 and had no use for this one.. so i happily bought it from my uncle and have not regretted it since.

She's rough now, but I plan to do alot of work on her including a turbo - intercooler set up.

Check pg 7 for summer restoration!!!!!

Came to my senses and ditched the CIS injection in favor of megasquirt. I'll be running a v2.2 board alond with msne for for edis ignition control. Currently I'm working on making my itbs. I also replaced the rims on my car a couple weeks ago with 320is wheels and yokohoma avid t4s heres some pics of the wheels (go to the engine page for the itb project)

Compliling parts for CIS Injection. I hope to also run ITBs. As for paint I'm right now into a metallic silver type color.. if only I had more money.

Made a junkyard run today and I was lucky enough to find a 320is steering wheel to replace the old one. I've also had the instrument panel replaced with a black one from and earlier 2002, it looks very nice in my opinion. Currently sophia is having an overheating problem, the radiator seems to drain water like cray, so I'm taking it to my uncle's place to check it, I've been told it might be the freeze plug. I also mihgt need to replace the water pump as the car has been sitting for a long time. I'll post new pictures once I get a new camera, I think my old one broke. Any suggestions on a new digital camera?

I've been slowly working on the fuel injection set up. The current plan is to do a K jetronic (CIS) fuel injection conversion while using my itbs. Curently I am in the middle of building my adaptor plate for the itbs and the air box that will go on them. I am hoping to have fuel injection by end of spring break.. lets hope all goes well!

I replaced my carburetor about a couple of years ago with a rebuilt one because I was having idle problems (the car would shut off at stoplights). It's fine now. These Pulsar/Sentra carburetors are probably some of the worst carbs ever made though. They have the nickname "hopless chokeless". The E16 itself is a damn reliable engine but the carbs are less than pleasant. The E15ET was the engine of choice though. I wish I had one of those in my Pulsar. Fuel injected and a turbo booster, the way the Pulsar was meant to be. The 280Z rocks but I'm going to sell it and buy something I can drive year round. Maybe an older Celica or a Prelude. Good work on the BMW by the way. You don't see many that old anymore. My ex-girlfriend's dad was a BMW freak. He had all kinds of old BMWs around.

nice car... a little better looking than mine did when i got it... sadly, i had to sell the 320i because i live at college and my parent's didn't like my cars piling up there. the 2002 is an awesome machine. i need to get more pics up. i have a new ansa muffler and by the end of spring break, i sould have the top all painted nicely. it's good to see another young enthusiast saving such a fine car. happy driving, mark
