09/06/08
So I am finally getting around to posting the pics I've gotten from my few drift runs in the Vic. Thought these came out really nice.
03/01/08
It's officially ready for towing! I have wired a Teknosha Prodigy brake controller, bolted on Curt class III hitch, purchased a Reese load distribution hitch, and got a lite car trailer! So it's all ready to roll. And the load levelers are awesome! $500lbs of tongue weight and you wouldn't even know it!

I went back to VIR again with new shocks, and a set of Hawk HP-Plus pads for the front. I drove one session on street tires with the used PFC Z-Rated pads for a comparison and was frustrated with sucky tires and crappy brakes. So I put the slicks on and the HP-Plus pads. Drive 3 laps to get the brakes all hot and let them cool till the last session of the day. Took it to the track and it was smokin'! Hauled butt and broke great every time! Hawk HP-Plus wins my vote for best economy track pad! Overall the weekend went smooth.

I got a full set of used Hoosier racing slicks mounted on HPP aluminum wheels for $80! What a steel! They definitely have more than half their life left, and they stood up to the entire race weekend like champs!
So I went to the track again August 4-5, this time I went to Virginia International Raceway (VIR) just outside Danville, VA. Was a great time had by all! The "new" T5 manual trans worked out great! I was rather surprised that again I was not being passed that much. As a matter of fact I was passed less than at Shenandoah. Top speed was between 105-115 because well, 5th gear = no acceleration. Maybe one of these days I'll do a top speed run and let 5th go somewhere. I ran a set of 245/45/R16 Hoosier race slicks mounted on painted HPP aluminum wheels. I get the whole set including the wheels for $80, and they did great!
86 Crown Victoria at VIR on the front strait. Yes, a 225hp Crown Vic got owned in the front strait by an Exige and Cayman S. Was a blast though, not many people expected it to be on the track let alone get passed by it.
86 Crown Victoria at VIR on the front strait. Did very well, and had no problem pulling in the turns, however my 225hp and 4000lbs don't have much for supercharged minis in a strait.

Well I've been busy and unable to update for a while, but a lot has happened since my last update. First is the biggest one. My open track weekend at Summit Point Race Park on the Shenandoah Circuit!!!!! That's right, an old box driving around on a road course! And she did well. Thing I have learned, I need a larger tranny cooler with a dedicated fan (or to put the T5 in) and I need to replace my 925lb/in front springs with 1500lb/in springs at least. I also confirmed my suspicion that I'm not a bad driver. My first track session lent me to passing an M3, Z06, S2000, and a few others. Not saying they were any good as far as drivers, but come on, a Z06, I gotta get some kind of credit for passing a car with 2 times my HP, less weight, and infinitely better suspension. Anywho, I got a bunch of pics and a video of me playing on the skidpad, hope you all enjoy!
Also, before I went to the track I pretty much had to get rid of my big balloon tires. As much as I love my old Western wheels, they simply won't support larger brakes so it was just a matter of time before they had to come off for good. So my replacement is a full set of 17X9 Halibrand replica wheels. These have 0 offset and are hub centric, so I don't need any spacers, adapters, or anything, they just bolt right on! I wrapped them in Sumitomo HTR-Z 275/40/R17 tires on all four corners. They handle much better, have infinitely more response, and amazingly did not have adverse effects on my ride quality over normal bumps. I am ecstatic with the result. Though I will forever miss my Westerns that I spent 6 years acquiring. I'll be restoring them and selling them as a set soon.
I washed up the Vic again and decided to go take some night pics. I got a few good ones. I was going to take some more pictures when I got home today but a damn chuck of crap came up and smashed my windshield on the way home.
Well I washed the car up in my nice unusually warm January weather, so I went out to take some pics. I ended up at the local Ford Plant and ended up making my latest burnout/donuts video that is on my first page as well as my Videos page. Anyways, enjoy the new pics.
First pictures of the new year. Back home for winter vacation, one of the old creek roads was abandoned for a new bridge. But it hasn't been long so the roads not that bad. Thought I would take a few pictures. Not the best lighting setup, enjoy!
I was on my way into work when I stopped by my friends building to go to lunch. And for some odd reason there was an extremely high tide and it was flooding the parking lot....even though we had no rain in the past weeks.... Anyways, I got him to drive it out in the water so I could take these pics.

I had cleaned up the Vic for a car club gathering a few weeks ago, and since it was so clean I hit it with some detail spray and went out for pics. Hope you all enjoy.

While I was out I decided to do a burnout. Here is the aftermath, the video is the one on the Intro page as well as the first video on the Videos page.
At ScottFest 07 I did some burnouts, and one person managed to get a couple pics. Thanks Pete!
After installing my new front springs I cleaned the SVT Vic up and did a quick detail job. So as you can guess I did a little photo shooting! Enjoy!
I got tired of having dim backup lights. So I replaced them with halogen bulbs. They are a lot brighter and well worth it.
I was getting stressed about life so I took a few hours and just drove around taking some pictures. It was really relaxing, and came out of it with some pretty good new pics of the Vic. I hope you all Enjoy!
FINALLY!! Got my "new" wheels on the Vic. Comes with some new rubber as well. Wheels are 15"X8.5" Western Wheels. Tires are all 245/60 R15 Yokohama Avid S/Ts. Lug nuts a Cragar, and the center caps are American Racing (I was having a really tough time winding the original Western center caps). I have also been going on a picture taking spreee, so there is an abundance of them. Enjoy!
Here are some updated exterior pics of the Vic that I took not 2 days ago which was right just after I installed my fog lights ^_^ Enjoy!
I decided to go ahead and install a pair of fog lights in the grill. They look great as far as I'm concerned. For some reason the picture makes them look like they are a crooked as hell, but they are perfectly level.
Here are some of the exterior pics after the my detailing.
I blacked out the grill and did the "raccoon eyes" for the headlight bezels. It turned out awesome. ^_^ I also installed my new Ford Emblem on the grill as well, which is a huge improvement over the old one.
And the final look and comparison.
So after all the work, rear end build up, tranny upgrade, line lock install, and a full body wax and polish job, I took a few pics. I have removed the strips down the doors, a little bit of the primmer is showing through but I think it looks much better than a bunch of glue on the sides. ENJOY!
Just a few pics of me. Since I know everyone is dieing to see who I am. LOL Ok so it’s the car and I and I just wanted to post them. They do a great job of showing just how dull my paint is, do you see a shine? I don't.
And here are a few more pics of the Vic in no particular order.
I wanted to give credit to the car that gave its self up for the better well being of my car. So this was my spare parts car before it was sent to get crushed. Original cost of blue car $100, got at an auction and it had a bad ignition module. Other than that it was fine (mechanically). Total estimated savings from car >$2000 in parts. To include tranny, rear axle, front and rear suspension, rear passenger door, and misc. interior and trim.
This happened a few years ago. Here you can see my original rear passenger door. Thanks to a Manuel Cruz who decided to run a red light into my car, and then tried to say I fishtailed into the front of his car as he was stopped and bounced off of the front of his Supra. I doubt I would be bouncing off that piece of crap car.
