EXTERIOR "UPGRADES"
Among the long, long list of problems the van had when I got it was the front doors, which were totally rusted away at the bottoms (they were full of soggy pink insulation). They were so bad that they both flapped in the wind when driving down the road. Damned thing looked like an overstuffed chicken trying to fly!
While they don't match the original "baby-poop yellow" paint, these doors ($46.50 each) from a 1973 Dodge are at least rust free and even have good weatherstripping. The mirrors ($6.50 each) came from a 1982 Chevy conversion van. Like most of the other added parts, these came from Pull-A-Part.
Although they are fine for others, I wasn't crazy about the white wagon spoke wheels, so I shot 'em with satin black & silver spray paint.
