Finally after 8 months I got the car back to my garage and we could begin assembling everything and doing the final mechanical things like new rotors and pads etc.
Chrome gas lid

I made new door panels by tracing out the old ones onto new fiberboard and covering them in the same material I used on the console. Replaced the OEM door speaker with Pioneer 6.75" ones. I decided to attch the panels with large stainless screws, kind of a retro look and along with the chrome door cups I like the contrast between the chrome and black. I also did away with the OEM armrest door pull thing and gave myself more room using these straps I got from Partsexpress for $2:

We cut the rear deck to install 8" JBL subs, the subs, along with the new door speakers and I replaced the OEM headrest speakers with MAX-5 ones along with all the soundproofing we did to the body, deck, trunk and doors make a drastic difference in the sound, even with the top down at 60mph the tunes are easy to hear and sound great .
